President Maduro was taken to the USA

U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered the military to launch attacks on Venezuela, targeting the capital, Caracas.

The strikes heavily hit military installations, and President Trump later announced that the U.S. military had captured Venezuela’s President, Nicolás Maduro.

Media outlets, including the BBC, report that this is among the most significant attacks carried out by the United States in South America block since the Cold War era began in 1990.

These U.S. attacks have caused widespread fear among Venezuelan citizens. At the onset of the strikes, President Maduro condemned “the U.S. military aggression”, and announced that a state of emergency had been declared in the country.

In the skies over Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, thick smoke could be seen rising from various areas struck by U.S. missiles.
