FPR Inkotanyi Congress adopts leadership reforms

The 17th National Congress of the FPR Inkotanyi presented to its members a series of reforms made within the party’s leadership structures, including the establishment of a Council of Elders and the approval of new members of the Executive Committee.

Among the newly approved members of the Executive Committee is Uwimana Consolée, who was appointed First Vice President. She currently serves as the Minister of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF).

Kayisire Marie Solange was approved as Second Vice President, while Bazivamo Christophe was appointed Secretary General, replacing Wellars Gasamagera. Gasana Karasanyi Stephen was named Deputy Secretary General.

The FPR Inkotanyi Congress convened at Intare Arena in Rusororo on Friday, December 19, 2025, under the leadership of the Party Chairman and President of the Republic, Paul Kagame, together with First Lady Jeannette Kagame.

The National Congress of the FPR Inkotanyi is held annually. This year’s meeting marked its 17th edition and was attended by more than 2,200 delegates representing members from across the country.
